Armstrong has provided commercial due diligence support to CloserStill’s acquisition of a portfolio of B2B events from UBM; Technology for Marketing (TFM), eCommerce Expo and the Care Show.
Armstrong worked with CloserStill, and incoming event directors Graeme Howe and Justin Opie over many months to provide multi-phase CDD on events. Detailed operational assessment and recommendations were central to our approach, given CloserStill’s investment hypothesis.
For example, the launch of the new ‘Digital Customer Theatre’ at TFM and eCommerce Expo, in association with IMRG, will include speakers from the likes of Mattel, Shop Direct, Lego, Diageo, Vodafone, Sainsburys and John Lewis sharing the latest experiences they have and their plans for harnessing technology. Investment in recruitment of senior delegates will make the event more strategic and visionary in its content proposition.
This transaction builds of Armstrong’s ever-increasing experience in the sector, for the likes of Reed Exhibitions, Upper Street Events, Ocean Media and others.
