Industrials: Premier Paper’s acquisition of WBC
Armstrong is pleased to have provided Commercial Due Diligence (CDD) for Premier Paper Group to support its acquisition of WBC, a speciality packaging and retail display company.
WBC was originally founded in 1989 as Liquid iD with the help of a £5,000 loan from the Prince’s Trust. Three decades on, WBC now supplies more than 9,000 UK customers, employs a team of 55 staff, and has an annual turnover of £18m.
The acquisition of WBC will complement Premier Paper’s traditional paper merchant business through expansion into added-value sectors and provide opportunities to develop product and service offerings through the sharing of knowledge and expertise.
Matt McNally, Director, Armstrong, said: “‘Armstrong’s work focused on interviewing WBC’s key customers, validating the quality of the company’s relationships, differentiators, and prospects for further growth. Customer feedback on the business was excellent and our research helped validate the opportunities to create value. We wish both parties every success in this venture.”
